Let it Rain

This song is so sad, but I really love it. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because David Nail has a voice like a God, or just because some sad songs really make me fall in love with them.

Let it Rain is about a guy who cheats on his wife and once she finds out she kicks him out.

If you’re interested in singing along, or just following along here are the lyrics.

Let it Rain by David Nail

It’s hard to find the perfect time to say something
You know is gonna change everything
Livin’ with the shame; it nothin’ like the pain
That I saw on her face

Now me and my pile of things that she threw out the window
Drownin’ next to me
No seven years of good can’t hide the one night
I forgot to wear that ring

So let it rain, let it pour
She don’t love me anymore
Just let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Every word let it hurt
Even more than I deserve
Let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Let it rain

Last thing I remember was the young familiar
Taste of someone on my lips
It’s too late to turn around when the shades start comin’ down
The guilt you feel’s the last thing on your mind

So let it rain, let it pour
She don’t love me anymore
Just let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Every word let it hurt
Even more than I deserve
Let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Let it rain

So let it rain, let it pour
If she don’t love me anymore
Just let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Every word let it hurt
Even more than I deserve
Let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Let it rain

Let it rain
(You don’t love me anymore)
Let it rain
